Lunacraft Wiki

Hello, citizens of Mooncraft Wiki! Do not fear, for the great Origami Dragons has come among you.

So Lunacraft has already proven extremely interesting for me-mostly by luck I guess. After wandering around a bit, getting used to the controls, and trapping some wandering Space Giraffe, I came across something interesting during my second try at survival mode.

It appeared to be a deep pit with boxes down each side. You and I know it now as an Astronaut Base or Astronaut lair. I quickly referred to the wiki and was excited; a lot of people never see them. I verrry carefully peered over the side. The inside was swarming with powder blue, pink, and white Astros. Unfortunately, night was falling, so I had to rapidly build myself a house out of ice and wait for the now emerging Astros to go away.

After a hectic night, I peered into the cave again. The Astros were still there. Using the Boron Crystals I had found quite by accident a ways away, I started to make a small roof on the opening. Unfortunately...I only had enough to go along one side of it, and while contemplating how to cover the hole...I fell in.

Of course the "battle" was ridiculous. I had pathetic weapons, aginst three or four pink Astros. I died within moments, and reluctantly respawned on the same world.

Yet after starting out again, to explore, I found the pit was still there within a few blocks. Yet now it appeared to be empty. Nervous, yet definitely not going down there, I explored a bit around it, and found- you guessed it- two more lair openings, all empty.

This seemed a bit odd. I was very sure there were no Astros. I finally floated down one of the shafts, to find two more openings. After placing a few light source blocks along the walls, I began to explore the abandoned lair.

Two of the three shafts were connected, with quite a few branching rooms. And of course the supply of free polymers was amazing (not that I really know what a polymer is for). I dug a small corridor connecting the last lair to the connected ones, built some staircases and am now, believe it or not, living happily in the tunnels. I only need a few trips to the surface to gather light blocks and crrafting materials (most ores can be found underground) to survive.

This is a true story. I don't have pictures right now but I will get some.
